It is the traditional and olden day board game Go, where two players attempt to occupy most of the board by using black and white pieces in the form of stones. A board consists of an array of intersecting lines and players alternate by placing a single stone each on any unoccupied point of intersection. The main idea is to border empty space and to make it yours and to repeat this process with the opponents to be able to surround and win their stones as well as to encircle it with yours so they will have nowhere to escape. Go has very straightforward rules yet a strategy so deep and complex that it is sometimes described as infinite. Each step counts and it has consequences in the long run. It is a game of patience, foreshadowing and planning and many moves ahead. Underlying that there is not only attacking, but also defense, sacrifice, and balance. Being a novice who is just getting to know the basics of the game, or a professional gamer who has learned to execute complicated moves and maneuvers, Go can provide you with infinite opportunities and a vivid intellectual experience that keeps you active and develops throughout the game.
